The laboratory has focused on the applied basic research, carried out theoretical, numerical and experimental researches on the mechanical behavior of engineering materials and structures, and developed three stable research directions: “analysis of dynamic stability and operational reliability of complex systems”, “fatigue damage mechanism and reliability assessment of engineering materials and structures” and “research on macromechanics and micromechanics properties of new materials and functional composite materials”. The laboratory has a scientific research and office space of the total area of 1325 m2, and 306 sets of experimental instruments and equipment. Among them, the large equipment includes the vibration test modal analysis system, 3D printer, drop hammer impact test system, micromechanics material testing machine, electro-hydraulic servo fatigue testing machine, etc.
