Technology Innovation Center focuses on the R&D and application of key technologies for efficient and clean heat supply from heat sources, heat networks and heat users, and has developed four research directions such as “key technologies for clean heat supply in northern cities and towns”, “renewable energy heat supply technologies for low-carbon buildings”, “technologies for improving the performance of heat transmission and distribution systems” and “intelligent heat supply and artificial environment quality improvement technologies”. Technology Innovation Center has an area of 2990 m2 for office and scientific research, including 1510 m2 for Yanshan University. The experimental platforms have been completed for the test of ductile iron pipe for heating engineering, solar-air-soil multi-heat source heat pump heating, PV loop heat pipe hot water system, solar air collector performance test; PIV dynamic flow field measurement and visualization, etc.
