Composite material mechanics, micro-nano mechanics, structural mechanics of metamaterials
The team has been engaged in the research on micromechanics and computational material mechanics of heterogeneous materials, and has made a series of progresses in micromechanics of composite materials, micro-nano computational mechanics, meshless method, phase field models and mechanical properties of mechanical metamaterial structures. The research is featured with the nanoscale fracture properties of defects, macroscopic mechanic electromagnetic thermal and other properties of composite materials when surface effects are considered, macromechanics and micromechanics properties of periodic structure materials, static/dynamic properties of mechanical metamaterials with negative Poisson's ratio, numerical simulation of engineering problems, molecular dynamics/first principle/discrete element study, mechanical properties of flat carbon nanotubes and other materials, meshless methods and fracture mechanics phase field models.
