Focusing on the architectural design theory and engineering design, and closely in line with the demands of national social development, the specialty integrates the production and education, and based on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, cultivate the compound advanced engineering and technical design talents with “thick foundation, wide caliber, good innovation and emphasis on practice”, solid basic knowledge, basic theories and design methods of architecture discipline, systematic training of architects, and strong practical ability and innovative spirit.

Department of Architecture of YSU has enrolled students for 20 consecutive generations. It has been approved for the right to grant master degree in architecture & civil engineering and architecture. It is a first-class undergraduate program construction site (specialty of architecture) in Hebei Province, with more than 10 industry-university-research cooperation bases and student practice bases.

The standard program duration is 5 years, and the employment destinations include architectural design institutes, urban and rural planning institutes, scientific research institutions and colleges, civil servants of urban construction and planning management departments, real estate development companies, etc.
